Junior Civil Engineer - Site Inspections and Design

Location: Lower Mainland, Vancouver, Edmonton or Calgary

Our client, is a leading firm in the field of civil engineering, known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in infrastructure and design. They are committed to excellence and are looking for a passionate Junior Civil Engineer/EIT to join their dynamic team. Our client is seeking a dedicated Junior Civil Engineer/EIT with a keen eye for detail and a passion for site inspections and design. The ideal candidate will assist in conducting thorough site inspections and contribute to the design of various civil engineering projects.

Qualifications:

.  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
.  3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site inspections and design (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
.  Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering design tools.
.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
.  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
.  Willingness to travel to various project sites in BC and Alberta as required.


Key Responsibilities:

.  Conduct detailed site inspections to assess and document site conditions, including topography, soil, drainage, and existing structures.
.  Collaborate with project teams to develop design solutions for civil engineering projects, such as roads, bridges, and water systems.
.  Utilize CAD software and other design tools to prepare engineering drawings and plans.
.  Assist in preparing project specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
.  Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure design integrity and adherence to codes and regulations.
.  Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
.  Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices during site visits.

Compensation

$70,000 – 100,000 CAD

The final salary for this position is determined by the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to relevant pay transparency legislation.
