Project Engineer - Stormwater Management

Description

Our client is an employee-owned, Canadian engineering consulting firm based in the Greater Toronto Area, specializing in land development consulting and engineering. They have an immediate need for a technically strong professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality stormwater management solutions across a variety of land development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the planning, analysis, and design of stormwater management systems for land development projects;

  • Prepare and review stormwater management reports, drainage studies, and technical documentation;

  • Contribute to subdivision design, master planning, and sub-watershed studies;

  • Perform and/or oversee 1D and 2D floodplain analysis and hydraulic modelling;

  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment and approvals;

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, including schedules, budgets, and deliverables;

  • Provide technical guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior engineers and EITs.

Requirements

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario;

  • 6+ years of experience in stormwater management within Ontario, with exposure to one or more of the following:

    • Subdivision design

    • Master planning and sub-watershed studies

    • 1D and/or 2D floodplain analysis

  • Strong technical expertise in stormwater management principles, modelling, and reporting;

  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills;

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset;

  • Ability to mentor and guide new graduates is considered an asset.

Compensation

$110,000 – $130,000 CAD

The final salary for this position is determined by the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to relevant pay transparency legislation.
