As a Carbon Neutral company since 2009, sustainability is at the heart of every project they undertake. Recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies (Platinum Club) for over 17 years, they take pride in their technical excellence and commitment to people.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or related technical diploma.
Registered P.Eng. with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) or another provincial professional association.
10+ years of progressive multi-discipline project management delivery experience in the municipal water sector using traditional design-bid-build delivery. Alternative progressive delivery model experience an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to clearly summarize complex findings.
Proven ability to lead groups across multiple offices with flexible working arrangements.
Active involvement in industry technical or professional organizations.
Responsibilities:
End-to-End Delivery Leadership for Complex Water Projects: Own delivery of mid- to larger-sized multi-discipline water and wastewater projects using our pan-Canada ‘OneOffice’ team from pursuit through construction, aligning scope, schedule, budget, and risk while maintaining client confidence and internal accountability.
Business development: Lead and contribute to project pursuit teams in business development activities such as proposal preparation.
Client Relationship & Trusted Advisor Role: Serve as the primary point of trust for municipal clients - anticipating issues, framing trade‑offs, and guiding decision‑making to secure repeat work and long‑term relationships in competitive water markets.
Multi-Discipline Team Integration & Performance: Integrate full multi-discipline design and construction management teams into a cohesive delivery unit - resolving interface gaps early, setting clear expectations, and keeping teams focused on outcomes rather than discipline silos.
Risk, Change, and Commercial Management: Proactively manage project risk, scope creep, and change - protecting AE’s commercial position while maintaining fairness and transparency with clients, contractors, and partners.
Practice Growth & Talent Development Catalyst: Strengthens the Water Practice beyond individual projects by mentoring emerging PMs and our multi-discipline project delivery team members, reinforcing consistent delivery standards, supporting pursuits, and helping translate technical excellence into sustainable business growth.
Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000.
The final salary for positions is determined by the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. Our client is committed to offering competitive compensation and adheres to relevant pay transparency legislation.
