 Analyst, Investments

 Our client, a real estate investment and asset management firm is looking to add an Analyst, Investments to their growing team.  They provide institutional and high net worth investors with direct access to commercial real estate assets. Through the execution of their disciplined investment approach and active management of their properties, they strive to deliver stable income and attractive long-term returns through a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, retail and multi-family residential properties.

 To Qualify, Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred

  • 1-2 years of related experience considered an asset

  • CFA designation considered an asset

  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with ARGUS real estate software an asset

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent financial and analytical skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Proven ability to think logically and problem solve effectively

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining strict deadlines

  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment

  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Interest in real estate and/or real estate related fields

  • A positive attitude, the ability to take initiative and work in a dynamic environment

 

What You Will Do

 As an Analyst on the Investment Team, you will:

  •  Assist with transaction due diligence and overall process of completing new acquisitions and dispositions

  • Prepare financial analysis for a wide range of real estate investments, including modelling of real estate cash flows, financing assumptions, IRRs, output sensitivities etc.

  • Produce the documentation and supporting paperwork for investment transactions

  • Regularly monitor and demonstrate compliance with internal procedures including the preparation of the Investment Committee Memo and client reports

  • Gather and evaluate economic and market data in target markets to support key underwriting assumptions

  • Travel from time to time related to asset and market activity and meetings with management teams, partners and brokers

  • Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed

 

   Compensation

$65k-$85k
