Analyst, Asset Management, Toronto

Our client is looking to add an Analyst, Asset Management to their impressive and growing team. They are a commercial real estate investment manager dedicated to providing institutional and high net worth investors with direct access to commercial real estate assets. They currently have approximately $11B in assets under management. At present, they are comprised of over 50 real estate investment professionals. With properties located from coast to coast in Canada, their current portfolio is comprised of over 330 buildings and more than 37 million square feet with exposure to the office, industrial, retail and multi-family sectors.

The ideal candidate will have around  2+ years commercial real estate within a real estate investment or asset management team.  Specifically:

 Qualifications:

•  University degree ideally in Business, Accounting or Finance

• 2+ years of related experience; real estate asset management, valuations and/or investment experience preferred

• Experience with ARGUS is essential

• Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel

• Excellent financial and analytical skills

Responsibilities:

•  Provide assistance and support to the Asset Management team

• Prepare property valuations and assist in the calculation of investment returns, as well as regular external client and internal property and Fund reporting requirements

• Provide general asset management support including the financial analysis of potential leases, cash flow projections, redevelopment projects and financing alternatives as well as other portfolio management analysis

• Gather and evaluate economic and market data

• Travel from time to time related to asset and market tours and meetings with management teams and partners

• Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed
