 Our client, a land developer and home builder that has been in business for over 30 years. They have land holdings and active projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area and  specializes in large-scale, low-rise developments, transforming them from raw land into thriving communities. Due to growth and success, they have an immediate need for an Administrator, Development.

General Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, organized individual to assist the land development and planning department with various administrative and organizational tasks. These tasks are essential to the operation of the company.

This person will witness projects move through their initial stages of urban planning and approvals through site servicing and construction to municipal assumption. A background in urban planning and or civil engineering is encouraged, but not critical.

This person will report directly to the Vice President, Land Development and work closely with the Project Manager.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, reviewing and managing project schedules and checklists

  • Issue purchase orders and review invoices

  • Manage and update municipal assumption trackers

  • Manage and pursue security (i.e. letters of credit) reductions

  • Assist in updating and reviewing project budgets

  • Follow up with consultants, municipalities, etc. for various requirements and tasks

  • Participate in weekly meetings and record minutes and action items

  • General administrative tasks including organization of files, drawings, and paperwork

  • Reviewing and summarizing subdivision agreements and other development documents

  • Assist the Project Manager, Development and the Vice President, Development as needed

  • Assist in various tasks as required and requested

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Professional written and verbal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project

  • Ability to express professionalism in all situations

  • Ability to competently work with numbers

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
