Hints and Tips
Unfortunately not all recruiters conduct themselves with NLC’s level of professionalism.  It's important for your reputation that your personal information is sent how, when and to whom you approve.   To avoid a bad experience, here are a few questions you should ask when approached by a recruiter:
  1. How long have you known the client you are representing?
  2. Do you have an exclusive mandate?
  3. Will you treat my information confidentially and send my resume only with my consent?
  4. Have you ever placed anyone at that company?
  5. Can you provide me with candidate you have placed that I may call as a reference?
If you are not comfortable with the answers you get to any of these questions, think twice before engaging with that consultant.  At NLC we answer these questions up front.  We are proud of our client relationships and are committed to treating candidates with respect. Please see testimonials for comments to that effect.
